We here among the OneHitPoint crew want to keep the community respectful and accomidating to all. As such, we have some basic rules in effect.
The Big Rules
1. Do not be a bigot. Being discriminatory against anyone will be heavilly frowned upon and administrative action will be taken against you. We do have a certain threshold for parody, but not for the big stuff. Use your head in this regard.
2. Keep it safe for work. No dongs or bewbies or whatever the kids call it these days. Artistic nudity is allowed but it must be in a spoiler tag and it has to be tasteful.
Posting Conduct
These aren't exactly bannable offenses, but are more guidelines to help keep the forums a friendly environment.
Take fights to PMs. If you're in a heated argument about Garrus x Tali or whatever, then that's fine. If on the other hand things start to get out of control and you both end up just fighting and yelling at each other, please take that to Personal Messages. This is so people who actually want to discuss Garrus x Tali or whatever are free to do so without you yelling about non-Mass Effect things.
Don't do things specifically to troll people you don't know. I'm talking about walking up to a Transformers G1 purist and going "G1 absolutely sucked and had no merit." If you have a legitimate opposing opinion, try to word it respectfully, like "I didn't care for G1." You are more than welcome to rickroll your friends however.
Grammar. No one's expecting Shakespeare and we all make typos, but people shouldn't have to struggle to read what you wrote, so try to keep the texting acronyms to common internet usage. Basically just type like you would talk.
Be considerate of page stretching. Not everyone has a 70 inch monitor, and horizontal page stretching ruins the rest of the page. Try to keep image width lower than 950 pixels; you may need to shrink screenshots, or put it in a spoiler tag.
Spoiler Alert. Everyone hates it when someone spoils a story. To help prevent this, anything that might be a big spoiler for something recent should use the [ spoiler ] tag.
Type in [ spoiler=_____ Spoilers ] Spoilers omg no wai [ /spoiler]
Simply click on the spoiler to see what is spoiled. If you see something that should be spoiler tagged but isn't, contact an admin or a mod and they will probably spoiler tag it (I will at least.)
Signatures. If you want an image in your signature, try to keep it banner sized, as opposed to hulk sized. Also do not embed youtube videos in your signature, but feel free to link to one, or anything else linkable.
Linking to Things. Don't post links to anything illegal or anything about how to pirate things. Do that over PMs between yourselves.
The Most Important Rule of All
Have fun.
